Service Description
Winter Solstice 108 Sun Salutations: A Moving Meditation of Renewal As the longest night of the year yields to the returning light, we gather to honor the eternal rhythm of darkness giving birth to dawn. The Winter Solstice marks both an ending and a beginning—a sacred pause between exhale and inhale, reflection and renewal. Through the ritual of 108 Sun Salutations, we attune body, breath, and awareness to the solar pulse within and around us. In many traditions, 108 is a number of cosmic completeness—reflecting the harmony of the universe: the distance between Sun, Earth, and Moon; the number of energy lines converging at the heart; and the count of sacred beads used for mantra and meditation. Each salutation becomes a prayer in motion—an offering to release what has passed and invite the light of new beginnings. Together, we move through the dark toward illumination, uniting rhythm, breath, and intention in service to balance and renewal.
